Miami Beach Orgullo Lummus Park

April 01, 2023 – April 16, 2023 Miami beach pride spring festival returns in 2023, bringing its celebration of all things LGBTQ+ throughout Miami beach. In addition to the free Saturday and Sunday festival and parade dates, the final dates for Miami Beach Pride have yet to be released. What started as a relatively small event of 15,000 people in 2009 has grown into one of the largest Pride festivals in the country, drawing as many as 170,000 revelers to Greater Miami and Miami Beach. Beyond the highly anticipated Sunday parade, Miami Beach Pride 2023 will also include a pool party, music festival, gala, and other fabulous fun. The main pride party is an exciting two-day live music event at Lummus Park on April 15 and 16 featuring multiple live musics and DJ stages. Best of all, it’s free to attend. Finally, April 16 brings the festival’s main event, the long-awaited pride parade. The procession of more than 50 floats begins at noon and will go up ocean unit from 5th to 15th streets. Seating areas will be set up along Ocean Drive, and many of the sidewalk cafes are also ideal for putting you in the heart of the action. Arrive early to get the best vantage points for the parade. The annual block party is one of the largest celebrations of its kind in the US, and for more than 40 years, it has been a historic event for residents and visitors alike. But it is much more than a day of concerts: Calle Ocho is part of Miami Carnival, a great celebration of Latino food, art, dance, and culture. Calle Ocho is a party, above all. And while it’s largely family-friendly, it’s still an energetic and sometimes wild time, so go in with an open mind. Even if the weather is cool, the street gets hot, so dress in comfortable and airy clothing. Be sure to drink plenty of water (bring some with you). And be respectful of everyone around you. Since the event is free, it can get crowded, and a little courtesy goes a long way. There is plenty to eat and drink on Calle Ocho. If you want to try everything, order small items from different stalls so you don’t get too full. As for listening to all the music, it’s important to note that several acts are performed simultaneously, and moving from one stage to another can take some time due to the crowds.
