You will see that each beach is different, some are oriented to the family public, and much safer for small children.

There are festive beaches, perfect to go with your group of friends… There are also beaches where you can go with your dogs.

Whatever type of beach you prefer, we are sure that in this list you will find your ideal beach.

Bill Baggs Park

Bill Baggs Beach is located at the southern tip of Key Biscayne and is home to the famous Bill Baggs Lighthouse.
Florida Cape.

The park offers a fantastic place to swim, sunbathe, take walks on the beach, or go surfing.

If you don’t feel like practicing water activities you will have the option of taking a guided tour of the Bill Baggs Lighthouse or fishing on the breakwater.

It is a beach where the traveler can bathe in its blue waters or take a walk and contemplate the beautiful sea views.

South Beach

South Beach is probably the most famous beach in Miami Beach. It is the place where people go to see or display their sculptural bodies (remember that a swimsuit is not optional, although topless is allowed).

South Beach is the beach we’ve seen in the movies and is located on Ocean Drive, across the street from Miami Beach’s busiest clubs and discos.

On the beach of South Beach, you will find a lot of services to spend the day with family, friends, or your partner.

It is important to know that it is necessary to pay for vehicle parking, which is expensive and sometimes difficult to find.

Actually, South Beach is made up of South Pointe Park (to the south) and Lummus Park Beach, two beaches with specific characteristics.

Virginia Key Beach

Virginia Key Beach is one of the most interesting beaches in South Florida. It is located off of the Rickenbacker Causeway, near the Miami Aquarium (Miami SeaAquarium).

Its good location makes it one of the most frequented coastal areas both by tourists and by the inhabitants of Miami, however, this does not take away from its particular charm.

Travelers looking for quieter beaches will find places to hide a bit from the crowds if they walk a bit.

In the south zone, dogs are allowed (on a leash), and in the north zone, it is a place where windsurfing is usually practiced, on this beach you can also find any type of service.

Mid Beach

The stretch of sand located between 23rd and 45th streets is a fairly quiet place, with fewer booths and fewer beach bars.

It also serves as a backdrop for some of the area’s most luxurious hotels and exclusive beach clubs.

The Miami Beach Broadwalk runs through the area, turning into a paved surface as it heads south on 23rd Street, so it’s always packed with joggers and skaters.

Haulover Beach

Haulover Beach, located in Miami Beach, between Sunny Isles Beach and Bal Harbour. This beach is known throughout the world as the only legal nudist beach in Miami (it should be noted that only the northern part of the beach is nudist).

Haulover Beach is a fantastic place to practice surfing and has endless activities available to tourists: tennis courts, kite-flying areas, and golf, among others.

Homestead Bayfront

It is a great option to go with the family. If you like fishing or sailing, on this much less touristy beach than the others, you can rent a canoe to navigate the Atlantic Ocean.

It is located in the southern part of Miami County right next to Biscayne National Park.

Said park is famous for its coral reefs and with such a notable neighbor, Homestead Bayfront Park in Miami, it seems destined to offer some most rewarding aquatic experiences.

Hobie Beach

This is one of the best beaches to go to with dogs in Miami. Hobie Beach offers shallow water, making it easy for pooches to have fun in the water.

There are little beach bars where you can have a refreshing lemonade and snuggle up under the palm trees.

If you are looking for some water activity, on the beach you can rent mini catamarans.

Miami’s beaches enjoy international fame and, really, when one discovers them, one never ceases to be surprised.

Throughout the area, you will find extremely touristy beaches, but it is also possible to visit quiet, idyllic, and magical beaches.
